My Wild Woman

I don't know why, but the other night I went back and started reading old blog posts.  It was a sweet experience remembering little things that I had forgotten.  But one thing stuck out in particular and that was Lynlee as a baby.  In one post, I talked about what an easy easy baby she was, content just sitting around, taking everything in quietly (cue the fastforward sound) and I'm doubled over laughing yelling "yeah right!!"  I'm not sure what happened to the quiet serene baby Lynlee, but she is one loud, stubburn, stong willed, wild woman.  She brings extra spice to our life and although some days, I am seriously pulling my hair out wondering why me, we are blessed with her rambunctious self and love her to peices.

She's not afraid of a thing and is the biggest daredevil.  She can and does climb anything (as indicated below) and she can now climb out of her crib, unlock doors, open doors, drag chairs to wherever she wants...we have our hands full and am thinking about baby proofing the house again! Here she is climbing from the highchair onto the buffet table and then having no idea how to get down...ha!

She is a great eater and will try anything.  Some of her favorite foods are oranges, grapes, cereal (she loves Lucky Charms and Fruit Loops), macaroni & cheese, popcorn, and currently loves any sauce, ketchup, fruit dip and even salsa!

Lynlee is the ultimate fan sitting on the sidelines for football, basketball, lacrosee and now we can add in Lucy's soccer and ballet!

Have I mentioned yet how photogenic she is...this girl doesn't take a bad picture!

She loves to get into anything, opening boxes, bags, and  secretly hiding out in spots with her "loot"

And she LOVES dogs.  She runs right to them yelling "ogg" and she's not afraid one bit.  The dog can be bigger than her and she'll still go right up to them.

And she has an endless amount of energy.  The picture below is when we all went to the skating rink and while everyone else skated, she ran.  Until she would plop down to lay down for a qsecond before racing off again to run laps!  :)

Some other things about this silly girl.  She is 20 months old and already talking pretty well.  Her favorite word already is "NO" and she thinks "pease" is an automatic given to anything she wants.  She calls Lucy "cece."  She loves her momma, still takes one bottle of milk at night, and still sucks her thumb...all the time!  She LOVES babies and will rock them  and stroll them all day long.  And she loves to dance and sing.  Her favorite song is  "ABC's".  She has a hair raising scream which she does umpteen times a day or whenever she doesn't get her way, but quickly snaps out of it and gives you a sweet as sugar smile and kiss.  There's a country song out now with the lyrics "there's a little bit of devil in her angel eyes, she's a little bit of heaven with a wild side"  And that pretty much sums up my Lynlee girl!

LAX

We have lax fever in this house!  For those that don't know what I am talking about, lax is short for lacrosse.  Up until a year ago, I would have though LA airport...ha!.  It's a  fast growing sport here and a fun one at that.  I knew nothing, zilch, zero, nada about the sport a year ago. And although I know more than I did, I'm still pretty illiterate about it still.  However,  I can tell you that Landon plays middie and he is pretty good at it... :)

This year his team was undefeated and made it to the state championship game!

Being on a winning team is a lot of fun!!  :)  That was a nice change of pace after being on a slew of different teams that were not winning and our coaches were awesome!!

During the middle of the regular season, Landon was asked to tryout for Bamalax.  We didn't know much about it, but thought it would be fun for Landon to at least try out.  During the regular season he played U9, meaning all of the players were 9 or under.  Bamalax starts at U11 meaning players are 11 or under by a certain date.  So, we gave it a go and let him try out.  I prepped him a little to make sure he knew what he was getting into.  The boys were older and a lot of them were quite a bit bigger than Landon, but he held his own and made the team!!

We are so proud of him!  He is one of the smallest on the team and is the youngest by a year, some of the boys are already 12!  But he is doing great, learning a lot, and has already been a starter in a tournament game.  So now we have another 3 months of lacrosse on the books!  :)    He loves the game and the game loves him and I have a feeling this is just the beginning!
