Happy Halloween 2012

As I am sitting here with the kiddos on the couch (all recovering from our sugar highs) I thought I would try to be somewhat productive and blog,  :)  Halloween is fast becoming one of my favorite holidays.  I don't know if it has to do with having kids who love it so much or the fact that you get your money's worth...we have been celebrating since the beginning of October with costumes, pumpkin patches, carving pumpkins, more parties, masquerade dinners, boo at the zoo, more parties, cookies, candy, parades and more parties!!  :)  Sound familiar to anyone!?  Throughout the month, the kids and I would do something "fall" such as painting pumpkins or making our own caramel apples.

We attended many Halloween parties, friend parties, school parties, fall festivals, etc.  lots and lots of them, so the majority of the month, my kids wore their costumes...

We went to the store set to buy fairies, but then Lucy saw the Wonder Woman costume and that was that. She tried it on and she looked too cute for me to tell her no.  So,I followed the trend with Lynlee and Super Woman.   Landon opted to be...can you guess it??

We made sure to hit Boo at the Zoo where we ran into friends...

Since we don't trick or treat at home, we haven't even lit them.  ha!  So we decided we would just light them the next few days regardless that Halloween is now over.  :)

For the actual day of Halloween, we made our way to Crestline. We have done this since we have lived in Birmingham and now that my sister lives over there, we have a home base.  Its so much fun over there, I'm not sure we'll ever do anything but.   Anyhow, to kick off trick or treating, there is is the annual parade at 4.  This parade is huge...seems like the first year we saw it, there was about 20 of us...now its packed!

Lynlee was enthralled.

Beside trick or treating the houses are set up with haunted houses, photo ops, bands, dj's, a dance floor, etc.
