Well, we did it! We all woke up on time, got dressed and fed, and got my oldest off to school in time. I am in a total funk that our summer is officially over...blah! And I got a little emotional that all my babies are growing up way to fast! But, am hoping Landon has the best first day, of what I'm sure, will be a great year!

The Seasise Diaries Part II
So, in just a 7 days at the beach, I took over 500 pictures, and I'm having a very hard time narrowing them down. Anyhow, even though the beach could have provided all of our entertainment for the beach, we did venture out everyday to do something or another. Ususally, for us, it was a quick bike ride to Seaside "downtown". Those bike rides were really my favorite part of our trip. We would just decide to load up at a moments notice and go.
Several days we grabbed lunch from one of the many food trucks. (I think they are so cute!)
I think she's really cute too :)
And another day, we biked over to watched a children's play on the lawn...
and one night we caught a concert that was awesome. I can't rememeber the name of the band, which is a bummer, becasuse they were really really good.
Just a few more reasons I love this place.

The Seaside Diaries - Part I
First of all, I am so psyched to have my blog almost all the way caught up. I have been on a roll and I'm not gonna stop til its done. (In my head that was to the tune of some song, perhaps one I made up) Anyhow, a few weeks ago, we took a trip down to the beach. My favorite beach. Seaside. Its one of my favorite places.ever!
It might be one of her favorite places too ! :) This year we went with our good friends the Fry's and the Mizerany's. We all arrived around the same time and the fun started from that minute on.
Anyhow, we hit the the beach everyday....
and we swam...
and played in the sand...
and sometimes that sand brought tears...
But the tears were very few and far between. The weather was gorgeous all week and smiles were slapped across our faces all week. Wishing I was back there now...
Is it too late to squeeze in a quick trip before school, because I am very tempted! :)

To the Lake
We have made it to the lake on several occasion this summer, but my kids are not fans. I'm not sure if its that Ash is usually not with us and they see their skwirmish mother and follow suit or what, but they're not the biggest fans. Lucy calls it the "yucky pool" And I guess compared to clear chlorinated water , the lake does seem like a big "yucky pool" ha! Anyhow, usually my kids are surrounded by a mass of cousins and that in and of itself is plenty of fun, but if that's not the case, then a boat can do the trick, which is what we did at Grandaddys.
Poor grandaddy rented not only a boat for everyone, but a couple of jet skis for the kids. We also packed up some fishing gear for Landon to give a try. In the end, the only one to enjoy the jet ski was myself and Ash and his dad ended up doing all the fishing! :) The kids were content boating it and snacking the whole time.
And all that boat ridin' was exhausting...
Life is good!

Best of Friends
Lately, my two little ones, have become the best of friends! They have their spats but have become very loyal to one another. And that has become very evident at bedtime. For a while now, I ask Lucy to call me if Lynlee gets out of her crib. And for a while, she would. Although, it would result in Lynlee getting in trouble which led to tears and so one. So, now Lucy keeps loyal to Lynlee and I walk into this on a near nightly basis....
Lucy no longer lets me know that Lynlee is out of her bed, and instead lets her little sister into her own bed where they fall asleep together. It's the sweetest thing and the perfect way to end the day...them in bed! ha! :)

Road Trip
With all of Landon's lacrosse tournament, Ash and I finally decided to divide and conquer. I would go to one tournament with the "easies" and he would take another tournament. Somehow, I ended up with the tournament in North Carolina - with a 7 hour drive...ugh! But, we divided up the trip with some road stops and made it fun. First stop was Atlanta at the American Girl Store.
I have to say I was very disappointed. And, had I made a trip all the way there for that alone, (as I know plenty who have) I would have been furious. Its just a store with all the stuff set up. Lucy wanted every single thing. And it was fun to watch her so enthralled. They had a craft set up in a corner of the store that quickly got really crowded and overwhelming...lots of pushing and snatching. And they had a doll salon, but it was just the salon chair that you can buy, set up on a long table with a bunch of people doing the dolls hair for $20+. Still unimpressed. The cutest thing about the store, was there cafe.
They have a seat just for your doll, and when they bring your food and drink, they bring it for the doll too. I love her concentration in feeding her baby!! :)
I was less than impressed with the place. I am not sure what I imagined, but it definitely did not live up to it. With that being said, if your in the Atlanta area, go see it. Its fun and cute but, not worth a trip just for that...at least in my opionion.
So, on we go. Landon and I decide we'll stop at each state line and get a picture in front of the welcome sign. We lucked out with Georgia...the signs were just in weird places and too dangerous for me to pull over for. But we managed to get a the rest of the states we drove in...
And, finally we made it to Charlotte for his tournament. I've already blogged about all that. But one of the perks of this tournament was tickets to a Major League Lacrosse game - Charlotte Hounds vs Boston. It was so. much. fun! We arrived early to tailgating in the parking lot with music...
and games...
with most importantly, prizes! :)
Lucy won a mini stick of deoderant, which the guy apologized for, but she couldn't have asked for a better prize. That stick was in her hand the whole night!
We finally made it in to the stadium and Landon caught up with his teammates.
Lucy decided she wanted in with "the boys"!! :) Love that girl!
There was a lot more lacrosse that weekend and that was that. We got back on the road and headed home to this little one who was missed so much!!
